Our Process

A single vision, carried from the first idea to the final layer.

Complete artistic direction, from pre-construction through finishes and styling.

Why It Matters

The best homes are decided early.

Bringing design direction in before the architect saves cost, time and regret, and keeps a home cohesive. Martire can select the appropriate architect or work adjacent to your own, create or guide the plans, and hold the vision steady from the first sketch to the last cushion.

01

The Conversation

We begin with your story, how you live, what you love, and what the home should become. We listen before we draw, reading the land, the existing home and your way of life.

02

Vision & Direction

Engaged early, often before the architect, we set the design vision and palette, then select or collaborate with the right architect and guide the plans so design and architecture move as one.

03

Design Development

Floor plans, elevations, millwork, cabinetry, lighting, materials and finishes are resolved together, so every decision supports the whole rather than competing with it.

04

Construction & Craft

With trusted builders and long-standing artisans, the work is built and managed to an exacting standard, Martire directing materials, joinery and detail throughout.

05

Furnishings & Styling

Drapery, textiles, art, furnishings and the final styling complete the home, the layer that turns a finished renovation into a place that feels lived-in and true.

06

A Studio for Life

We hand back a home synchronized to its owners, and remain a studio they return to. Most of our work begins with a returning client or their referral.
